SOFsono was born out of a heartfelt desire to contribute to the #SOFmed community, and that is why having heard this call, we could not let it go unanswered.
Even the smallest monetary donation will be greatly appreciated. Please follow the link to the secure and verified online collection. It won’t bring Marcin back (Polish #SOFmedic from #JWFORMOZA), but it will certainly help support this young #SOFmed family in need.
In case of any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, or contact his teammate.
Fear of a loving heart – that’s a feeling every spouse of a Special Operations Forces (SOF) soldier knows all too well. We live here and now, as if each “goodbye” was the very last one… Yet we always keep the faith and lovingly hope for a “happily ever after”.
But this past February I unknowingly kissed my husband goodbye for the very last time. Later that day he was tragically killed in a car crash while driving home after a day on duty.
Marcin was the love of my life and I cannot even begin to imagine our future without him. My heart refuses to acknowledge the reality of what just happened. He was a medic, saving lives was his passion, but it was his that could not be saved. How could I possibly explain it to our children? We have two and we were overjoyed to be pregnant again.
My beloved husband has honorably served in the Polish Armed Forces for the past 12 years. Over the past 3 years he was a member of a SOF unit FORMOZA in Gdynia. But 12 is not 15 and therefore I am not eligible for the majority of survivor benefits. This leaves me and our children behind in serious hardship. Our son has special needs and requires intensive therapy (he is autistic). With a third baby on the way I know that the coming years will be very difficult for us. Yet I truly hope that with your kind support I can make my husband’s dream come true – to ensure a happy and carefree childhood for our children.
Thank you for your kindness and any gesture of support! God bless you, All!
