As a military medic I am passionate about adding an austere twist to the science of medicine… I strive to thrive in controlled-chaos environments!
There is nothing that can rival the challenge of the SICK patient, in need of an emergent intervention, who is coming through your door in some of the most austere countries in the world. As you size up your patient you don’t notice any bleeding nor any apparent trauma. Moving further, you realize he’s in septic shock… How do you confirm your suspicion in this resource-limited environment? How do you fix it?
I’m looking forward to the exchange of information that will occur to inevitably better everyone involved! I am glad to be a part of this spearheaded push for education, spreading of knowledge and incorporating diagnostic ultrasound into our most fierce and surrounded medics hands…
